Commercial Litigation Associate

Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP is seeking a mid-level Commercial Litigation Associate to join its Houston office. This role offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic team at an AmLaw100 firm, providing comprehensive legal services to a diverse clientele. The Houston office, located in the Heritage Plaza building, is situated in the heart of the city's central business district, reflecting the vibrant culture and rapid growth of Houston's economy.

The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting and arguing complex motions, managing discovery processes, taking and defending depositions, and assisting in both jury and bench trials. The role requires proactive case management and the ability to lead litigation matters effectively. Collaboration with colleagues and clients to develop and implement litigation strategies is a key aspect of the day-to-day work.

Applicants must possess a Juris Doctor degree and have between 3 to 7 years of meaningful commercial litigation experience in a mid-size to large law firm or litigation boutique. Exceptional oral and written advocacy skills, strong academic credentials, and admission to the Texas Bar in good standing are required. Former federal clerkship experience is considered a plus.
