Commodity Manager, Frame and CAB
Harbinger Motors, an American commercial electric vehicle company, is seeking a Commodity Manager for Frame and CAB components to join their Procurement team in Garden Grove, California. This role offers the opportunity to shape both short-term and long-term commodity strategies, contributing to the company's mission of transforming the medium-duty EV industry.
The Commodity Manager will collaborate with Engineering and Supplier Quality teams to identify and manage suppliers within the assigned commodity group, including Frame, CAB, and Metal Stampings/Fabrications. Responsibilities include designing and executing strategic sourcing visions, overseeing RFI/RFQ/RFP processes, negotiating favorable contracts, and serving as the initial point of escalation for commercial issues. The role also involves working closely with cross-functional teams to align on product cost, manufacturing technology, delivery, and quality, as well as analyzing direct material spend to identify improvement opportunities.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in a technical, supply chain, or finance discipline, with 3-5 years of experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Engineering, preferably in the automotive industry. A master's degree or MBA is preferred. The ideal candidate will have 3-7+ years of experience in Purchasing/Supply Chain management, including strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management. Strong knowledge of pricing models, industry trends, and ERP systems like NetSuite/Oracle is essential, along with excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
The position offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $160,000, along with comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage fully paid for employees.
