Compensation Automation & Tooling Partner
Block's Total Rewards team is seeking a Compensation Automation & Tooling Partner to lead the technical aspects of our global compensation programs. This role involves managing systems, automated workflows, and self-service tools that support compensation operations for approximately 6,000 employees worldwide. As a key member of the team, you will drive the transition from manual processes to scalable, technology-enabled solutions, significantly influencing the team's future operations.
In this position, you will design and implement automation for high-volume compensation processes, such as benchmarking data ingestion, market pricing analytics, offer approvals, off-cycle adjustments, and personalized compensation statement generation. You will serve as the primary technical administrator for specialized compensation management software, defining integration requirements with the enterprise HRIS team. Additionally, you will develop and maintain self-service tools for HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders, including internal mobility calculators and global transfer modeling tools. Your responsibilities will also encompass creating Total Rewards dashboards that provide real-time insights into compensation metrics, budget utilization, and market trends.
The ideal candidate will have over six years of experience in HRIS, Compensation Operations, People Analytics, or HR Technology. Expertise with Workday integrations and other HCM platforms is essential, along with experience in workflow automation platforms and the ability to build and maintain end-to-end data pipelines. Proficiency with technical collaboration and version control tools, such as GitHub, and a track record of guiding non-technical teams through adoption are highly valued. Strong data modeling and visualization skills, as well as a solid foundation in global compensation principles, are also required.
Block offers a competitive salary range for this role, with compensation varying based on location. For example, in Zone A, the salary ranges from $135,200 to $202,800 USD annually.
