Chime is seeking a Compliance Fair Lending Lead to join its Business Advisory team, focusing on ensuring fairness and compliance across its financial products and services. In this role, you will collaborate with product, marketing, credit risk, and data science teams to advise on fair lending practices and compliance strategies, particularly supporting the Instant Loans product. Your expertise will help Chime navigate the evolving regulatory landscape and enhance existing offerings to maintain fairness and responsibility as the company continues to grow.

Key responsibilities include maintaining and enhancing the fair lending compliance program through governance, policy development, risk assessment, and testing. You will conduct ongoing reviews of consumer complaints, marketing materials, loan documentation, and other consumer-related forms to identify and mitigate fair lending risks. Additionally, you will evaluate proposed business changes to ensure compliance with applicable fair lending laws and regulations, drive corrective actions to address identified issues, and establish strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have over seven years of experience in banking, credit, lending, or product compliance, with at least four years focused on Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA) and Unfair, Deceptive, or Abusive Acts or Practices (UDAAP) compliance. A demonstrated knowledge of key regulations, including ECOA, UDAAP, and other consumer protection laws, is essential. Experience advising product, marketing, and machine learning teams on compliance issues related to these regulations is highly valued. Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills are required, along with the ability to develop solutions and advise on issues with minimal oversight. Experience working with statistics, analytics, and other technical tools is a plus.

Chime offers a competitive base salary ranging from $127,000 to $175,000, depending on location, skills, qualifications, and experience. Full-time employees are also eligible for bonuses, a competitive equity package, and comprehensive benefits, including a 401(k) match, medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance. Additional perks include a generous vacation policy, company-wide paid days off, an annual wellness stipend, and up to 24 weeks of paid parental leave for birthing parents and 12 weeks for non-birthing parents.

Joining Chime means becoming part of a team dedicated to helping everyday Americans achieve financial progress. The company fosters a culture of boldness, collaboration, and integrity, encouraging employees to take ownership of their work and contribute to the mission of delivering helpful, easy, and free core banking services.
