Configuration and Data Management Specialist
As a Configuration and Data Management Specialist at Archer, you will play a pivotal role within the Configuration Management team, ensuring the accuracy and control of document releases, changes, and technical data. Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California, dedicated to building all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance sustainable air mobility.
In this role, you will perform and support document control processes, ensuring all configuration management procedures are followed for the proper handling, storage, and release of technical data. You will review Change Notices for completeness and compliance, attend and support Change Review Board meetings, and execute the release and change process for configuration items. Additionally, you will maintain configuration data integrity in systems, conduct audits to verify compliance with the Configuration Management Plan, and coordinate across engineering, quality, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to determine cut-in points and retrofit requirements.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to interpret and verify process diagrams, engineering drawings, technical documents, and Interface Control Documents (ICDs). Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy in handling large volumes of documentation are essential. Hands-on experience with document control processes, technical data management, and configuration item release workflows is required, along with familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management systems and workflow-driven methodologies. Strong communication skills are necessary for coordinating with internal teams, vendors, and leadership.
Archer offers a competitive base pay range of $105,600 to $132,000 for this position, with actual compensation determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
