Configuration Data Systems Engineer
Rocket Lab Corporation is seeking a Configuration Data Systems Engineer to join the Neutron launch vehicle program in Auckland, New Zealand. This role involves defining, architecting, implementing, and maintaining software solutions that manage and control configuration data for the Neutron launch vehicle, ensuring consistency and coherence across various engineering teams.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with engineering teams to gather and understand configuration data requirements, designing and developing software solutions for configuration data management, and maintaining automated processes for data updates and deployment. The role also involves project management, leveraging shared service team capabilities, reviewing codebases, performing audits, troubleshooting issues, and providing documentation and training to team members.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Physics, or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or C++, experience with tools like Git, TeamCity, or Ansible, familiarity with a Linux-based development environment, and a strong understanding of database design and management are essential. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication and collaboration abilities are also required.
