Construction/General Liability Associate Attorney

Wilson Elser, a prominent defense litigation law firm with over 1,300 attorneys across 43 offices nationwide, is seeking a Construction/General Liability Associate Attorney to join their team in New York. The Associate Attorney will independently manage cases involving insurance defense, general liability, auto/transportation liability, and New York State Labor Law construction matters. Responsibilities include handling court appearances, conducting depositions, and maintaining regular communication with clients to provide timely updates and guidance.

Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and be admitted to practice in the State of New York. A minimum of two years of litigation experience is required, with a background in insurance defense, premises liability, and general liability. Familiarity with New York Construction Law (NYS Labor Law 200, 240, 241) and experience with OSHA hearings are advantageous. Strong analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to manage caseloads independently are essential.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $140,000 to $190,000 USD annually, along with discretionary bonuses.
