Consulting Associate/eDiscovery (Forensic Services practice)
Charles River Associates (CRA) is seeking a Consulting Associate to join its Forensic Services practice in Chicago, Boston, Washington DC, or New York. CRA is a leading global consulting firm providing economic, financial, and business management expertise to major law firms, corporations, and governments worldwide. The Forensic Services practice assists clients in responding to allegations of fraud, waste, abuse, misconduct, and non-compliance by deploying cross-trained teams of forensic professionals to deliver deep and timely insights.
In this role, the Consulting Associate will support senior consultants and clients with tasks related to database administration, data processing, review management, and user experience. Responsibilities include conducting analysis of relevant data, utilizing database skills to effectively analyze large data sets, investigating and analyzing evidence for litigation and expert support, ensuring reliability of analysis through quality control review, and assisting with corporate initiatives, recruiting, and training efforts as needed.
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of related professional experience and an understanding of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) and eDiscovery processes. Experience using Relativity as an advanced user and database administrator is required, with certifications being beneficial but not mandatory. Proficiency in loading data into Relativity, executing quality control of document productions, processing electronic data using industry-standard tools such as Nuix or Relativity (with a preference for Nuix), and experience with MS Excel and/or MS Access are also desired. Strong problem-solving skills, excellent verbal and written communication abilities, rigorous organizational skills, and the capacity to prioritize multiple tasks and manage multiple projects to meet deadlines are essential. Minimal travel may be expected.
