Contractor Special Security Officer
Anduril Industries is seeking a Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) to join our Special Access Program Security team at our headquarters in Costa Mesa, California. This team is dedicated to safeguarding classified information for our most sensitive programs and contracts, ensuring the security of both Anduril and government data, as well as our defense products. The CSSO will play a pivotal role in managing and developing security programs that exceed standard National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) requirements.
In this role, the CSSO will be responsible for submitting program access requests, preparing for and conducting government inspections, and managing self-inspections. Additional duties include processing visit requests, conducting security briefings and debriefings, maintaining access rosters, managing classified mail, and overseeing access control systems for designated program areas. The CSSO will also handle administrative tasks such as maintaining filing systems, updating logs, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, including Information Systems, Mission Assurance, Insider Threat, Physical Security, and Facilities teams.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent education and work experience, along with at least five years of experience in a Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) or Assistant CPSO role. A thorough understanding of Department of Defense policies, instructions, and manuals pertinent to special access program security is essential. Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as excellent collaboration and interpersonal abilities, are required. Candidates must hold a current DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and be capable of maintaining this clearance with special program accesses.
Anduril offers a competitive salary range of $129,000 to $171,000, along with highly competitive equity grants.
