Corporate Counsel
May Mobility is seeking a Corporate Counsel to join its Legal team, serving as a trusted business partner across the organization. This high-impact, hands-on role is ideal for a versatile attorney who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment. The Corporate Counsel will play a pivotal role in scaling May Mobility's autonomous vehicle operations worldwide.
Key responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a range of commercial and supplier agreements, such as hardware supply, software licensing, services, joint development, and partnership agreements. The role also involves designing, implementing, and maintaining compliance programs and policies covering areas like data privacy, safety, regulatory obligations, and corporate governance. Additionally, the Corporate Counsel will provide day-to-day legal counsel to cross-functional teams, advise on regulatory matters related to autonomous vehicle testing and deployment, and support the management of outside counsel on specialized matters.
The ideal candidate will possess a J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar. They should have 5–8 years of legal experience, including a combination of law firm and in-house counsel experience, preferably at a technology, automotive, or mobility company. Demonstrated experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements, developing compliance programs, and expertise in areas such as regulatory affairs, safety/product liability, data privacy, or employment law are essential. Strong business judgment and excellent communication skills are also required.
