Court Reporter/Stenographer - Contractor

eScribers is seeking experienced stenographic court reporters to join our team as independent contractors. This role involves attending in-person hearings in Buffalo, NY, and surrounding areas, with opportunities for remote work also available. As a leader in court reporting and transcription services since 2005, eScribers offers a dynamic and professional environment for its contractors.

The primary responsibilities include accurately capturing verbatim records of legal proceedings, producing high-quality transcripts, and ensuring timely delivery of all assignments. Reporters are expected to maintain a high degree of professionalism and adhere to all deadlines.

Candidates must possess NCRA, NVRA, or NYSCRA certification credentials, or provide proof of successful completion of an accredited court reporting program. Legal eligibility to work in the United States, a high-speed internet connection, reliable transportation, and a current U.S. bank account for direct deposit payments are also required.

As independent contractors, reporters are compensated on a per-project basis, which includes daily appearance fees, transcription fees, and reimbursement for travel expenses when necessary. Payments are made weekly via direct deposit. Priority for assignments is given to those who consistently meet quality standards and deadlines.
