Customer Quality Technician (Contract)
The Customer Quality Technician at Harbinger Motors Inc. plays a pivotal role in ensuring product quality and customer satisfaction. This position involves investigating customer issues, overseeing the Vehicle Buy-Off (VBO) process at upfitters, and driving corrective actions to enhance product reliability. The technician will work closely with cross-functional teams to address quality concerns and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities include serving as the primary quality liaison between Harbinger and upfitters, leading investigations into customer-reported quality issues, and conducting root-cause analyses to develop corrective and preventive actions. The role also involves training technicians and inspectors on inspection standards, coordinating with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve quality concerns, and analyzing field performance data to identify systemic issues. Additionally, the technician will conduct VBO inspections and audits to verify quality compliance and support the deployment of the Harbinger Quality Operating System (HQOS).
Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in customer-facing quality roles within the automotive, commercial vehicle, or electric vehicle industries. Essential skills include proficiency in root cause analysis, 8D problem-solving, and reliability data analysis. Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration abilities are crucial. The role requires extensive travel (50–75%) to upfitter sites. Preferred qualifications include experience with last-mile delivery fleets, electric vehicle systems, telematics, remote diagnostics, and new vehicle launches.
