Data Analyst
Wilson Elser, a leading defense litigation law firm with over 1,400 attorneys across 46 offices in the United States, is seeking a Data Analyst to join its New York, NY office. This role is part of the Business Solutions & Innovations department, which is undergoing a strategic overhaul to enhance efficiency and provide a competitive industry advantage. The position offers a flexible, hybrid working arrangement.
The Data Analyst will be responsible for creating and maintaining reporting processes to support firm stakeholders, developing an understanding of databases supporting firm operations, and utilizing Power BI Analysis Services for data visualization and reporting. Key duties include leveraging Aderant Database & Software for financial systems reporting, performing initial analysis and refinement of data, effectively communicating with internal and external resources, responding to ad hoc data requests, and analyzing, reverse engineering, and documenting legacy scripting routines.
Candidates should have 1-3 years of experience in financial systems administration, particularly with Aderant Financial System, and demonstrated ability in managing and analyzing data. Proficiency in MS SQL/SSRS/SQL Query and exceptional MS Excel skills are required. Familiarity with Power BI Analysis Services, VBA/Macro understanding, and experience with JIRA software are preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication abilities, and organizational skills to manage multiple projects are essential. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or substantial industry experience, is preferred.
The position offers a salary range of $80,000 to $90,000 USD annually.
