Data Analyst
Wilson Elser, a leading defense litigation law firm with over 1,400 attorneys across 46 offices in the United States, is seeking a Data Analyst to join its Stamford, Connecticut office. This role is part of the Business Solutions & Innovations department, which is undergoing a strategic overhaul to enhance efficiency and provide a competitive industry advantage. The position offers a flexible, hybrid working arrangement.
The Data Analyst will be responsible for creating and maintaining reporting processes to support firm stakeholders, developing an understanding of databases supporting firm operations, and utilizing Power BI Analysis Services for data visualization and reporting. Additional duties include leveraging Aderant Database & Software for financial systems reporting, performing initial analysis and refinement of data, effectively communicating with internal and external resources, responding to ad hoc data requests, and analyzing, reverse engineering, and documenting legacy scripting routines.
Candidates should have 1-3 years of experience in financial systems administration and recent experience with the Aderant Financial System. Proficiency in managing data and performing data analysis, working knowledge of Power BI Analysis Services, and skills in MS SQL/SSRS/SQL Query are required. Exceptional understanding of MS Excel, including debugging and development, is essential. Preferred skills include VBA/Macro understanding and debugging, familiarity with JIRA software or comparable project and task management software, and experience leading the transition, integration, and implementation of legal e-billing platforms. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or substantial industry experience, is preferred.
The position offers a salary range of $80,000 to $90,000 USD annually.
