Data Analyst
Wilson Elser, a prominent defense litigation law firm with over 1,400 attorneys across 46 offices in the United States, is seeking a Data Analyst to join its Business Solutions & Innovations department in White Plains, NY. This department is undergoing a strategic transformation to modernize legacy technologies and business processes, aiming to enhance efficiency and maintain a competitive edge in the industry.
The Data Analyst will be responsible for creating and maintaining reporting processes to support firm stakeholders, developing a comprehensive understanding of databases that underpin firm operations, and utilizing Power BI Analysis Services for data visualization and reporting. Additionally, the role involves leveraging Aderant Database & Software for financial systems reporting, performing initial data analysis and refinement, effectively communicating with internal and external resources, responding to ad hoc data requests, and analyzing, reverse engineering, and documenting legacy scripting routines.
Candidates should have 1-3 years of experience in financial systems administration, particularly with the Aderant Financial System, and demonstrate proficiency in managing and analyzing data. A working knowledge of Power BI Analysis Services, MS SQL/SSRS/SQL query skills, and exceptional MS Excel capabilities are required. Familiarity with VBA/Macro, JIRA software, and experience leading transitions and implementations of legal e-billing platforms are preferred. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or substantial industry experience, is also desired.
