Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer at Awin, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and analytical data models within Azure, AWS, and Databricks environments. This position is integral to ensuring that Awin leverages its extensive data assets to enhance commercial decision-making and provide top-tier campaign management support to client-facing departments.

Your primary responsibilities will include developing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks, PySpark, Spark SQL, and Delta Lake. You will design curated datasets, semantic layers, and data marts that power analytics and reporting, ensuring alignment between business requirements and technical solutions. Additionally, you will implement robust data validation, schema enforcement, and quality checks across pipelines to maintain data integrity and reliability.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field, along with hands-on experience with Databricks, PostgreSQL, and large, distributed datasets. Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL is essential, as is experience with data modeling and AWS services such as Lambda, CloudWatch, and Step Functions. Strong problem-solving skills, effective communication abilities, and a commitment to thorough documentation are also required.
