Data Scientist, AI Deployment

Braze is seeking a Data Scientist for its AI Deployment team, a group of technical experts dedicated to designing and implementing machine learning solutions that enable personalized customer engagement for leading global brands. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy AI-driven strategies that enhance user experiences and drive business value.

Key responsibilities include designing machine learning use cases from inception, building and managing end-to-end ML pipelines, and providing ongoing technical guidance to ensure successful adoption and measurable outcomes. The role also involves extending product capabilities by developing features and tools that support the AI deployment team and partnering with the Braze Product team to refine reinforcement learning algorithms.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field, with a Master's or PhD preferred. A minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience in data science or machine learning engineering is required, along with proficiency in Python and core ML libraries, strong SQL skills, and experience in machine learning pipelines and model deployment. Experience with DevOps tools and reinforcement learning algorithms is advantageous.

Braze offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of CA$112,000 - CA$168,000 per year, with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between CA$125,000 - CA$188,000 per year, which includes performance-based or variable compensation.
