Data Scientist
As a Data Scientist at Zip Co Limited, you will join the Data & AI Squad, collaborating with key stakeholders to provide fast, reliable, and future-proof data solutions. Your work will directly influence how millions of customers experience Zip's digital financial services. This role offers a hybrid working environment with team connect days in our Sydney office.
Your primary responsibilities will include developing and deploying machine learning models to enhance customer engagement and optimize business processes. You will analyze large, complex datasets to uncover actionable insights, design and run data-driven experiments to test hypotheses, and collaborate with Product and Marketing teams to translate business challenges into scalable data science solutions. Additionally, you will communicate insights through clear storytelling and visualizations, and explore emerging AI techniques to drive innovation across the customer experience.
The ideal candidate will have 2 to 5 years of experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar role, with strong programming skills in Python and experience with libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, or scikit-learn. A solid grounding in statistical analysis and machine learning techniques, experience working with large datasets and writing efficient SQL queries, and exposure to modern data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, or dbt are desirable. Strong problem-solving skills, a curious and analytical mindset, and a collaborative approach are essential.
