As a Design Data Integrity Engineer at Archer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of engineering drawings and models. Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California, dedicated to advancing sustainable air mobility through the development of all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. Your contributions will directly support the production of error-free, manufacturable, and compliant engineering designs.
In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and verifying engineering drawings, models, and documentation against company, industry, and regulatory standards. You will check for compliance with ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and ASME Y14 drafting standards, identify and document errors or inconsistencies, and provide clear feedback to design engineers for correction. Additionally, you will validate the accuracy of CAD models and associated metadata before release, ensuring that drawings reflect design intent and support producibility and manufacturability.
The ideal candidate will have a detail-oriented mindset with a strong ability to identify discrepancies in complex design data. A minimum of 5 years of experience in producing, reviewing, or checking engineering drawings or model-based definitions in aerospace, automotive, or other complex product environments is required. Proficiency with CAD tools such as NX, CATIA, or CREO, and experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems like Teamcenter, Windchill, or Enovia are essential. Strong knowledge of ASME Y14.5 GD&T and ASME Y14 drafting standards, along with effective written and verbal communication skills, are also necessary.
Archer offers a competitive base pay range of $152,100 to $190,100 for this position, with actual compensation determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
