The Design Director role at Flamingo is a pivotal position within the Harry's and Flamingo Creative team, responsible for shaping the visual and experiential aspects of both brands. This team oversees the full creative output, including packaging design, advertising, photography and video production, retail marketing, digital, and social media. The company, Flamingo, is an award-winning body, hair, and care brand delivering high-performance, thoughtfully designed products at an accessible price. Since launching in 2018, Flamingo has become a significant player in the women's shave market in the U.S. and has expanded its product assortment to cater to various routines.

In this role, the Design Director will build and maintain scalable design systems across packaging, retail, digital, and social platforms, ensuring visual consistency and quality at every touchpoint. They will work closely with the Head of Creative to identify and refine the best ideas, setting and upholding the creative standard across the team. The position involves a balance between leading and hands-on design contribution, directly contributing to packaging, campaigns, digital launches, and brand work. Additionally, the Design Director will collaborate with Brand, Product, Retail, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure that creative work is both exceptional and commercially grounded.

The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in brand design, with demonstrated creative leadership. Deep expertise in packaging design and production processes is essential, along with a strong portfolio showcasing work across physical and digital environments. The candidate should have a proven ability to build, document, and scale design systems, and hands-on proficiency in tools such as Figma, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Experience in managing and developing design talent, as well as excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills, are also required.

The compensation for this position includes a base salary hiring range of $200,000 to $230,000, with the final offer based on the candidate’s location, skill level, and experience.
