Design Engineer, Thermal and Lubrication
Archer is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to join our Thermal Lubrication System team in San Jose, California. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing advanced lubrication and thermal management systems that ensure optimal performance and reliability of our electric propulsion technology. As a Senior Design Engineer, you will lead the design and development of integrated thermal lubrication systems from initial concept through production implementation. Your responsibilities will include designing and specifying components such as pumps, filters, heat exchangers, and pressure relief valves, as well as creating detailed CAD models and technical drawings. Collaborating closely with manufacturing teams, you will ensure that designs are optimized for production and meet performance requirements.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in fluid systems, lubrication systems, or thermal management design. Proficiency in CAD modeling software (such as NX or Creo) and 1D modeling tools (such as GT-Power or MATLAB/Simulink) is essential. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to safety-first engineering practices are also required.
Archer offers a competitive compensation package, with a targeted base pay range of $93,800 to $151,200 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
