CannonDesign is seeking a Designer II to join their multi-disciplinary team in Dallas, Texas. This role focuses on both design and technical aspects, collaborating closely with design and technical leadership to contribute to various project phases. Under the supervision of a Licensed Architect, the Designer II will play an integral part in project teams, ensuring the successful execution of design concepts.

Key responsibilities include independently contributing to conceptual design, material selection, coordination, and architectural development as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The Designer II will prepare and contribute to design and presentation efforts, including 3D design visualizations and other illustrative graphics. Additionally, the role involves contributing to the production of the BIM model and associated deliverables, participating in project coordination with other disciplines, and potentially taking on a leadership role within the team on specific project issues. Other duties may include reviewing shop drawing submittals with guidance from the Project Architect, participating in site visits, and attending project team meetings.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field, with a preference for degrees from accredited programs. A minimum of 4 years of related professional experience is required. A strong creative design portfolio is essential, along with strong communication, teamwork, presentation, graphics, and organizational skills. Experience with real-time rendering and 3D rendering software such as Enscape, Twinmotion, and/or V-Ray is required, as demonstrated through a portfolio of past and current visualization work. Some experience in computational design tools such as Grasshopper and Dynamo is preferred. Actively pursuing Architectural Registration in the United States and LEED accreditation are also preferred qualifications.

The salary range for this position is $73,600 to $92,000 annually. Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
