Digital Court Reporter - Contractor

eScribers is seeking experienced Digital Court Reporters to join our team as independent contractors. Established in 2005, eScribers has become a leader in reporting and transcription services for courts and government agencies across the United States, United Kingdom, and Ireland. As a Digital Court Reporter, you will be responsible for attending legal proceedings in person within Albany, New York, and surrounding areas, as well as remotely. Your primary duties will include capturing accurate records of proceedings, managing and maintaining reporting equipment, and ensuring timely submission of transcripts. Flexibility in scheduling and the opportunity to take on transcription work are also available.

Candidates must have completed a training program or possess previous reporting experience. Ownership of personal reporting equipment is required. Additional qualifications include legal eligibility to work in the United States, a high degree of professionalism, commitment to meeting deadlines, proficiency in basic computer functions, a high-speed internet connection, and reliable transportation.

Compensation is project-based and includes a daily appearance fee, reimbursement for travel expenses if necessary, commissions on copy sales and exhibit handling, and weekly pay via direct deposit. Priority for assignments is given to court reporters who consistently maintain excellent quality standards.
