As a Dimensional Engineer at Archer, you will play a pivotal role in defining, developing, and executing the dimensional management for our complete vehicle design architecture and assembly. This position is integral to ensuring the precision and quality of our all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, aligning with Archer's mission to advance sustainable air mobility.

Your primary responsibilities will include creating dimensional tolerance stack models using 3DCS software and collaborating closely with Design, Manufacturing, and Quality Engineering teams to validate these models against Archer's process capabilities. You will develop gaging and indexing strategies, interact with manufacturing and integration teams to enhance product dimensional quality, and analyze, troubleshoot, and develop control plans to meet vehicle dimensional metrics. Additionally, you will perform virtual builds from 3D scans and contribute to developing Archer's dimensional management standards.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, with over three years of experience in dimensional engineering within a product development environment. Expertise in achieving excellence through Design for Manufacturing, Design for Assembly, and Design for Dimensional Control principles is essential. Proficiency in GD&T (ASME certification preferred), dimensional variation analysis, and experience with measurement systems and metrology equipment are required. A strong understanding of key manufacturing processes, such as large bonded structures, hand-laid prepreg carbon fiber, machined metal, and formed metal, is also necessary.

Archer offers a competitive base salary ranging from $140,000 to $176,000, determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
