Director, ADK Core Engineering
As Director of ADK Core Engineering at May Mobility, you will lead the core engineering group, overseeing multiple teams responsible for developing and integrating advanced sensor technologies, networking, power, and computing systems into our autonomous vehicle platforms. This role is pivotal in driving innovation and ensuring that engineering projects align with the company's strategic objectives.
Key responsibilities include managing partnerships with third-party engineering firms, leading vehicle engineering efforts related to embedded software, and coordinating closely with product management, program management, autonomy, and production teams to ensure timely development of engineering requirements and designs. You will also oversee departmental KPIs, budgets, and people management activities, while ensuring compliance with internal engineering development processes.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline or related field, with over 10 years of relevant work experience leading engineering functions. Demonstrated people management experience, including hiring, onboarding, retention, coaching, and team building, is essential. Experience setting technical vision and strategy for vehicle systems engineering and autonomous driving subsystems, as well as working with safety-critical products in the automotive or aerospace industries, is highly desirable.
