The Director of Clinical Operations at Spring Health will lead the strategic direction and operational management of the company's high-acuity and employer-facing mental health services, including the 24/7 Crisis Line, Critical Incident Response, Mandatory Workplace Referrals, and Manager Consultation services. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of safe, timely, and high-quality care during critical moments for members and clients. Spring Health is a leading mental health benefits provider, partnering with over 450 companies to offer comprehensive mental health solutions to more than 10 million individuals.

Key responsibilities include overseeing the performance and evolution of crisis services, translating enterprise customer needs into scalable clinical operating models, and collaborating cross-functionally with departments such as Product, Care Support, Customer Success, Legal, Network Operations, and Business Intelligence to enhance service delivery and member experience. The Director will also represent crisis services in executive forums and customer conversations, ensure clinical safety and compliance, manage escalation frameworks and high-risk case reviews, standardize clinical protocols, and lead a multi-layered clinical leadership team.

The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of progressive leadership experience in behavioral health, crisis services, Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), or high-acuity clinical operations, including oversight of large frontline teams exceeding 100 full-time employees. Direct experience leading 24/7 clinical operations with responsibilities for staffing, service levels, and risk oversight is essential. An active independent clinical license (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, PsyD, LCPC, MD, RN) is required, with a strong preference for expertise in Acute Stress Disorder, PTSD, and trauma-related disorders. The candidate should demonstrate strong operational acumen, including workforce planning, KPI management, and cost optimization, as well as the ability to lead through change in fast-scaling, matrixed environments.

Spring Health offers a competitive compensation package, with a target base salary range of $164,900 to $197,500 per year. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance starting on the first day, access to One Medical accounts, HSA and FSA plans with company contributions, employer-sponsored 401(k) match of up to 2%, and a yearly allotment of no-cost visits to the Spring Health network of therapists, coaches, and medication management providers for employees and their dependents. Additional benefits encompass competitive paid time off policies, parental leave, access to wellness programs, fertility care support, fitness and mindfulness subscriptions, child and elder care support, professional development reimbursement, and donation matching programs.

Spring Health fosters a culture of accountability, clinical excellence, and continuous improvement. The company is committed to revolutionizing mental healthcare by removing barriers to access and delivering personalized care tailored to individual needs. Employees have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment, contributing to meaningful change in the mental health landscape and making a tangible impact on the lives of millions.
