Spring Health is seeking a Senior Director of Engineering to lead the Platform Infrastructure team in developing and operating the foundational systems that power our mental healthcare platform. This role is pivotal in shaping and executing the strategy for a modern, scalable, and secure cloud platform that enables rapid product innovation and supports infrastructure-as-code at scale. The position is based in New York City, with a hybrid work arrangement requiring 2–3 days per week in the office.

The Senior Director will define and execute the platform infrastructure strategy, evolving cloud-native, distributed systems to ensure scalability, reliability, and a strong developer experience. Responsibilities include leading and scaling a high-performing engineering organization, building self-service platform capabilities, championing DevOps and SRE practices, leveraging AI/ML and automation to enhance infrastructure efficiency, ensuring robust security and compliance standards, managing vendor partnerships, and contributing to company-wide leadership initiatives.

Candidates should have deep expertise in cloud-native architectures (AWS, GCP, or Azure), distributed systems, and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and Kubernetes. Proven experience leading and scaling platform or infrastructure engineering teams in high-growth environments is essential. A strong track record of implementing DevOps, SRE, and platform engineering practices at scale, along with experience building internal platforms and developer tooling, is required. Strategic mindset, cross-functional leadership, and experience managing large-scale systems with high availability and compliance requirements are also necessary.

The target base salary range for this position is $230,000 - $288,000, complemented by a competitive total rewards package including equity and benefits.
