Director, Construction

Hut 8 is seeking an execution-focused Director of Construction to oversee the delivery of large-scale data center builds from groundbreaking through commissioning. This role involves managing the entire construction lifecycle, ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality. The Director will serve as the primary point of contact for all construction-related matters, collaborating closely with internal teams and external contractors to achieve project objectives.

Key responsibilities include strategic leadership in owning the delivery of mission-critical construction projects, end-to-end oversight of construction activities, driving execution excellence by implementing efficient processes, managing vendor and contractor relationships, and collaborating cross-functionally to integrate projects into Hut 8's broader portfolio. The Director will also be responsible for coaching and developing a team of analysts and associates supporting the construction projects.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, along with over eight years of experience in construction management or general contracting on large-scale data center, industrial, or mission-critical infrastructure projects. A proven track record of successfully managing projects from inception to completion, strong leadership and negotiation skills, and proficiency in construction management tools are essential. Familiarity with data center infrastructure and working knowledge of AIA contract structures are also required.
