Director, Global Sourcing & Supplier Development Engineering (Radar & Sensors)
Anduril Industries is seeking a Director of Global Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Industrialization Engineering to lead strategic sourcing initiatives and supplier development for electrical commodities, including radar, sensors, and mission systems. This leadership role is integral to supporting the company's global operations and manufacturing objectives, ensuring supplier readiness for new product introductions and mass production scaling. The position reports to the Senior Director of Global Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Industrialization Engineering and requires a blend of strategic vision, technical expertise, and operational execution.
Key responsibilities include developing and executing global sourcing strategies to achieve cost savings, quality improvements, and supply chain resilience. The role involves identifying and establishing partnerships with strategic suppliers, leading negotiations on pricing and contracts, and collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to align sourcing strategies with company objectives. Additionally, the director will ensure supplier readiness for new product introductions, conduct supplier audits and risk evaluations, and drive process optimization initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency and quality.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, physics, or a related technical field, along with over 15 years of experience in strategic sourcing or supplier quality and industrialization within a manufacturing environment. A minimum of 5 years of experience managing a team of technical supply chain professionals, engineers, or technical project managers is required. Technical expertise in areas such as PCBA manufacturing, IPC standards, SMT processing, CAD, and GD&T is essential. The role requires the ability to travel 20%-50% of the time and relocate to be onsite in Costa Mesa, CA.
Anduril offers a competitive salary range of $220,000 to $292,000, along with highly competitive equity grants.
