Director - Head of Legal Operations & Innovation

HubSpot is seeking a Director to lead its Legal Operations and Innovation team, focusing on integrating AI and automation into legal workflows. The Director will be responsible for developing and executing the legal department's AI transformation strategy, assessing and redesigning legal workflows across various functions, and implementing AI-powered processes with built-in error handling and audit trails. Additionally, the role involves classifying automation projects by risk tier, ensuring proper governance, and maintaining audit logs for systems handling privileged information. Training legal staff on AI-assisted tools and tracking the impact of automation initiatives are also key responsibilities.

Candidates should have over eight years of experience in technical, operations, or engineering roles, with a proven track record of deploying AI solutions at scale. Hands-on experience with AI-powered workflows, API integration, scripting languages like Python or SQL, and building with large language model APIs is essential. A strong understanding of data classification, privacy obligations, and implementing governance frameworks for AI systems is also required.
