Director, Manufacturing Engineering
The Director of Manufacturing Engineering at Anduril Industries will lead the strategic development and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes within the organization. This role involves overseeing engineering teams across diverse product lines to ensure efficient production, scalability, and quality, while supporting new product introductions and automation initiatives. The position is based in McHenry, Mississippi, and focuses on managing full-rate production operations, particularly in areas involving chemicals, explosives, or energetics.
Key responsibilities include developing and implementing production processes to enhance productivity and quality, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations, and leading a diverse team of engineers and technicians. The role also involves maintaining comprehensive production documentation, serving as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries related to production, and analyzing production data to identify areas for improvement. Additionally, the Director will promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement within the team.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, with an advanced degree preferred. A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, ideally within the chemical, explosives, or energetics industries, is required. Proven leadership experience in managing diverse teams, proficiency in production documentation and lean manufacturing principles, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential. Excellent communication skills and in-depth knowledge of safety regulations in manufacturing environments are also necessary. U.S. Person status is required due to access to export-controlled information or facilities.
The salary range for this position is $170,000 to $256,000 annually, with actual offers varying based on factors such as experience and education.
