Director, Marketing Planning & Operations
The Director of Marketing Planning & Operations at Chime will serve as the operational backbone of the marketing organization, building systems and processes that enhance efficiency and clarity. This role involves close collaboration with the Chief Marketing Officer and leadership team to translate strategic objectives into structured, high-impact execution.
Key responsibilities include leading annual and quarterly marketing planning, translating business goals into clear objectives and key results (OKRs), aligned budgets, and a centralized marketing calendar. The role also involves establishing a disciplined operating cadence to drive accountability, managing end-to-end marketing budgets, designing scalable workflows and governance systems, and identifying opportunities to integrate artificial intelligence to improve workflow efficiency.
The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in marketing operations, business operations, or management consulting within high-growth environments. They should have a proven track record of building OKR and planning systems that drive accountability, managing multi-million dollar marketing budgets, designing scalable marketing workflows, and applying AI to improve processes. Exceptional program and change management skills, along with deep experience in building and scaling JIRA workflows, are also required.
The base salary for this role ranges from $234,000 to $324,000, with full-time employees also eligible for bonuses, competitive equity packages, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
