Director of Contracts
Voyager Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Director of Contracts to lead and manage the company's contracting activities within the defense, national security, and space technology sectors. This role involves direct supervisory responsibilities and requires a deep understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), Direct Commercial Sales (DCS), and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) contracting. The Director will provide strategic advice and guidance on contractual rights and obligations, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
Key responsibilities include developing and implementing contract strategies aligned with Voyager's strategic objectives, partnering with finance leadership to meet financial targets through securing contract awards and negotiating payment terms, and collaborating with various business divisions to ensure contracting activities are thoroughly vetted. The Director will also manage proposal preparation, contract negotiations, assessment of terms and conditions to mitigate risks, and provide recommendations to executive leadership. Maintaining positive and constructive relationships with customers is essential.
The ideal candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance, requiring U.S. citizenship. They should possess 10-15 years of experience in a dynamic role within a technology, defense, or aerospace company. Strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and subject matter expertise in contracting are essential. The candidate should be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of solving complex, cross-functional problems. Proactive communication and polished interpersonal abilities, with a focus on customer service, are also required.
