Director of Data (f/m/d)
Awin is seeking a Director of Data to lead the expansion of its data and AI capabilities. This role involves partnering with senior leadership to implement a multi-year data strategy, enhancing data governance, operations, and utilization across the global organization. The Director will oversee data engineering, platform management, analytics, and machine learning functions to drive informed decision-making and sustainable growth.
Key responsibilities include developing a clear, measurable data strategy aligned with business priorities, evolving the cloud data platform for improved scalability and efficiency, and championing engineering excellence within data teams. The role also involves scaling data science and machine learning capabilities, implementing robust delivery practices for models and analytics, and promoting self-service analytics through standardized datasets and metrics. Additionally, the Director will lead data literacy initiatives, strengthen governance frameworks, and embed a data-as-a-product mindset across the organization.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in defining and executing data strategies within product-led tech environments, managing end-to-end data and machine learning roadmaps, and scaling modern cloud data platforms. A deep understanding of the machine learning lifecycle, MLOps, and analytics engineering best practices is essential. The role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, exceptional communication abilities, and a product-focused mindset. A commitment to data quality, ethics, and responsible AI is also crucial.
