Director of Technology Business Operations
The Director of Technology Business Operations at PitchBook Data will lead the Office of the EVP, Technology & Engineering, overseeing a global technology organization of over 500 employees. This role is pivotal in translating strategic objectives into actionable plans, ensuring that departments such as Product Engineering, Data Collection Technology, AI/ML, Enterprise Technology, and Technology Operations align with company priorities. The director will drive cross-functional collaboration and operational excellence to enhance delivery velocity and reliability.
Key responsibilities include serving as a strategic partner to the EVP by shaping priorities and maintaining a transparent risk and decision log. The director will translate strategies into OKRs, KPIs, and investment theses, ensuring that capacity and budget plans align with these objectives. Additionally, the role involves leading annual and quarterly planning processes, overseeing technical review cadences, and championing engineering health metrics to inform resource allocation and priority decisions.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, along with over 12 years of experience in technology roles, including senior positions within large tech organizations. Proficiency in evaluating technical designs, managing large cross-functional programs, and a strong understanding of cloud architectures, data platforms, and AI/ML services are essential. Exceptional communication skills and familiarity with Agile, Lean, and Fast-Flow principles are also required.
The position offers a competitive annual base salary ranging from $205,000 to $275,000, with a target annual bonus of 20%.
