Director, People Business Partner
As a Director, People Business Partner at Modern Health, you will serve as a strategic advisor to executives and leaders, shaping and executing people strategies that enhance engagement, strengthen leadership, and drive business impact. This role involves providing counsel on organizational design, performance enablement, talent planning, and leadership development, balancing immediate priorities with long-term organizational health and cultural alignment. You will report to the SVP of People & Talent and collaborate closely with the People Operations and Talent teams.
Key responsibilities include translating business goals into integrated people strategies that promote organizational health, performance, and scalability. You will design and implement progressive talent strategies, such as performance enablement, talent reviews, succession planning, and leadership development, to enhance engagement and development. Additionally, you will coach and develop leaders to build high-performing, inclusive teams, recognize and reward top performance, address underperformance, and elevate leadership excellence in alignment with Modern Health's values.
The ideal candidate will have over 12 years of experience in People or HR roles, with at least 4 years as an HR Business Partner directly collaborating with executives and leaders. A minimum of 2 years in a People leadership role, preferably within the health or tech sectors and in high-growth companies, is required. Experience with organizational and cultural transformation, strong program management skills, and the ability to balance strategic partnership-building with execution are essential. Proficiency in both qualitative and quantitative problem-solving approaches, excellent judgment, and a deep sense of empathy for diverse groups are also important.
