Director, Securities Lending Trader
DriveWealth is seeking a Director, Securities Lending Trader to lead and enhance its securities lending program within the retail brokerage platform. This senior role involves managing inventory, optimizing rates, overseeing operations, and executing strategic initiatives to drive growth and efficiency. The position is based in New York City and requires in-office presence four days a week.
Key responsibilities include managing daily securities lending activities such as rate setting, supply and demand calibration, and inventory optimization. The role also involves overseeing loan allocation processes, maintaining relationships with agent lenders and borrowers, supporting pricing negotiations, monitoring collateral levels, and leading process improvements and automation initiatives. Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and contributing to internal policy development are also critical aspects of the role.
Candidates should have 7-10+ years of experience in securities lending, securities finance, or prime brokerage, along with Series 99 and Series 7 certifications. A strong understanding of U.S. securities lending regulations, short-selling mechanics, and customer protection rules is essential. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, and demonstrate the ability to manage complex lending processes and optimize revenue or utilization. A team-oriented mindset and a desire to help scale a world-class retail-focused securities lending program are also important.
The compensation package for this role includes a base salary ranging from $200,000 to $225,000, along with bonus potential, equity options, and a 401(k) match.
