Electrical Analysis Engineer, BMS
Archer is seeking an Electrical Analysis Engineer to join our team in San Jose, California. In this role, you will focus on circuit analysis within our high-voltage battery management system (BMS), contributing to the development of our all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft designed for sustainable air mobility.
Your primary responsibilities will include analyzing circuit schematics to identify single-point failures, assessing the system-level effects of component failures within printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs), and performing worst-case accuracy analyses on measurement circuits. Additionally, you will use circuit simulation tools to model hardware circuits, support reliability engineers in understanding electrical operating conditions, and collaborate closely with design engineers to ensure the BMS hardware meets safety, accuracy, and reliability requirements.
The ideal candidate will possess a BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, along with at least 3 years of experience in designing, modeling, or analyzing mixed-signal electrical circuits. Proficiency in circuit simulation tools such as LTSpice, excellent organizational and communication skills, and a strong troubleshooting ability are essential. Experience with high-voltage systems, electronics in regulated industries, and familiarity with standards like DO-160G, DO-254, or ISO 26262 are considered advantageous.
At Archer, we offer a competitive base salary ranging from $105,000 to $145,000, determined by your knowledge, skills, and experience.
