Electrical Test Engineer, Connected Warfare
Anduril Industries is seeking an Electrical Test Engineer to join their Connected Warfare team, focusing on the modernization of command and control systems for U.S. and Allied forces. This role involves designing and executing electrical system test strategies for high and low power ground system applications, contributing to the development of cutting-edge defense technologies.
Key responsibilities include creating and maintaining electrical system test strategies and plans for Ground Control products, developing test procedures based on power quality specifications and industry standards, and independently scheduling and executing test plans. The engineer will also facilitate performance and characterization testing of developmental and production hardware, develop custom test fixtures and racks, and analyze test data to produce comprehensive reports. Additionally, the role involves conducting offsite testing and providing guidance to lab personnel, as well as analyzing and addressing failures observed during integration and system-level testing.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields, along with at least 4 years of relevant industry experience emphasizing hardware validation and verification testing. Familiarity with hardware development life cycles, reliability and compliance testing, high voltage safety protocols for both AC and DC voltages, and electronics test equipment such as power supplies, electronic loads, oscilloscopes, function generators, data acquisition systems, power analyzers, and measurement sensors is required. Strong root cause analysis skills, excellent communication abilities, and eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance are also necessary.
Preferred qualifications include over 4 years of relevant industry experience, proficiency in Python and/or MATLAB for data parsing and visualization, knowledge of complex wiring harness design and testing best practices, experience with digital bus/network communication protocols like CAN, UDP, Modbus, RS485, Serial, and SNMP, as well as experience with firmware integration, vehicle-level validation, and debugging. Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory compliance standards is also advantageous.
The position offers a salary range of $129,000 to $171,000 annually, with highly competitive equity grants included in most full-time offers.
