Email Security Analyst (Position located in Sao Paulo, Brazil)
As an Email Security Analyst at KnowBe4's Threat Labs in São Paulo, Brazil, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing real-world email-based cyber threats. In this role, your primary responsibilities will include investigating and classifying suspicious emails to identify phishing, malware, spam, and benign attempts. You will extract and document Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) such as URLs, domains, file hashes, and sender information from email headers, body content, and attachments. Additionally, you will research and monitor ongoing email-based threat campaigns, mapping attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures to the MITRE ATT&CK framework. Collaborating with senior researchers, you will contribute to building and maintaining internal threat intelligence datasets, detection patterns, and research documentation.
The ideal candidate should have 1-2 years of experience in the field and an understanding of common cybersecurity threats, including domain spoofing and spear-phishing. Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to maintain focus during repetitive analytical tasks are essential. Experience handling large datasets is also required. While a university degree is not mandatory, we encourage applications from individuals with vocational IT training, technical diplomas, relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA IT Fundamentals), or those returning to the workforce who possess strong digital literacy.
