Snr. Email Security Analyst (Position located in Sao Paulo, Brazil)
As a Senior Email Security Analyst at KnowBe4's Threat Labs in São Paulo, Brazil, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing real-world email-based cyber threats. In this role, your primary responsibilities will include investigating and classifying suspicious emails to identify phishing, malware, and social engineering attacks. You will extract and document Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) such as URLs, domains, and file hashes from email headers, body content, and attachments. Additionally, you will research and monitor ongoing email-based threat campaigns, mapping attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures to frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK. Collaborating with senior researchers, you will contribute to internal threat intelligence datasets, detection patterns, and research documentation.
The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in the field, with a strong understanding of common cybersecurity threats, including domain spoofing and spear-phishing. Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to maintain focus during repetitive analytical tasks are essential. Experience handling large datasets is also required. While a university degree is not mandatory, we encourage applications from individuals with vocational IT training, technical diplomas, relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA IT Fundamentals), or those returning to the workforce who possess strong digital literacy.
