Embedded Software Engineer - Firmware
Applied Intuition is seeking a senior Embedded Software Engineer to join our Vehicle OS team, focusing on developing embedded software applications for next-generation vehicle platforms. This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging engineering problems within a fast-paced environment, contributing to the advancement of our flexible suite of products that assist vehicle manufacturers in developing, deploying, and updating complete vehicle software and AI applications.
In this position, you will be responsible for integrating vendor components into a unified software framework, ensuring proper low-level communication through protocols such as CAN, LIN, I2C, SPI, and UART. You will implement real-time operating system (RTOS) applications as required, architect and develop high-quality C code for real-time embedded environments, including safety-critical systems, support hardware bring-up with low-level debugging of boards and system-on-chips (SoCs), and collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring up custom software on new devices, productionize it, and manage the maintenance process for company products.
The ideal candidate will have over three years of experience working on embedded devices, a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, a strong background in embedded software development using C/C++ and assembly languages, hands-on experience with RTOS, Linux, and/or ARM systems, and proficiency in debugging real-world environments using embedded diagnostics tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG.
Compensation for this full-time position includes a base salary ranging from $125,000 to $253,000 annually, equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance coverage, 401(k) retirement benefits with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off.
