Energy Systems Engineer, Maritime

The Energy Systems Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and certifying energy storage systems that power maritime platforms. Key responsibilities include executing sections of the energy technology roadmap, advancing current energy systems through capability development, validation, and optimization efforts. The role also involves performing and supporting critical certification efforts for energy systems, including tasks related to UN38.3 and NAVSEA 9310.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor of Science or higher degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Systems Engineering. A minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in power system design and development is required. Essential qualifications include demonstrated experience in designing, developing, testing, and supporting high-density energy storage systems for complex and harsh environments, as well as experience contributing to the development and execution of battery safety plans. Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. security clearance as a U.S. Citizen is also required.
The position offers a competitive salary range of $166,000 to $220,000 USD annually.
