Engineering Lead - Integrations Platform
Frontera is seeking an experienced Engineering Lead to spearhead the development of our Integrations Platform. This role involves leading the design and implementation of systems that connect our platform with external partners, data sources, and internal services, ensuring seamless, secure, and scalable data exchange. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional stakeholders to guide technical direction and drive innovation.
In this hands-on leadership position, you will be responsible for designing and developing integration architecture, including robust APIs, data pipelines, and partner integrations. Your day-to-day activities will involve setting technical direction, unblocking the team, and ensuring high-quality execution while remaining deeply embedded in the code. Approximately 80% of your time will be dedicated to building, with the remaining 20% focused on leading and coordinating the engineering team.
The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in full-stack or backend-leaning engineering, with a strong background in building APIs and integration systems. Additionally, at least 2 years of experience leading or managing engineers is required. Experience with third-party integrations, particularly in healthcare systems, EHRs, SaaS platforms, or partner APIs, is highly preferred. A strong understanding of system design, distributed systems, and data flow between services is essential.
