As an Engineering Manager on the Trucking Autonomy team at Applied Intuition, you will lead a team of engineers focused on developing and deploying scalable behavior systems for commercial trucking applications. This role involves owning the architecture and delivery of next-generation systems that enable intelligent behavior in high-traffic highway and suburban environments. Applied Intuition is a leader in vehicle intelligence, providing software infrastructure to accelerate the global adoption of safe, AI-driven machines.

In this position, you will drive the overall strategy, technical roadmap, and architecture for behavior planning dedicated to Level 4 autonomous trucks. Your responsibilities include guiding the design and implementation of robust, safety-critical algorithms for various driving domains, such as urban streets, highways, and diverse environmental conditions. Additionally, you will collaborate cross-functionally with teams including Perception, Simulation, and Vehicle Operations to ensure the robust and efficient integration of the behavior software stack.

The ideal candidate has over five years of experience in robotics or autonomous systems, with a focus on behavior systems. Proficiency in areas such as behavior planning, decision making under uncertainty, path planning, motion planning, probabilistic reasoning, prediction, machine learning, and trajectory generation is essential. Demonstrated ability to architect large-scale, production software for real-world robotic or automotive systems, along with proven leadership experience managing engineering teams and overseeing technical projects, is required. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are also vital.

Applied Intuition offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary ranging from $204,000 to $343,000 annually, equity options, and comprehensive benefits.
