Engineering Manager, Developer Productivity
Webflow is seeking an Engineering Manager for its Developer Productivity team, a pivotal role aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the company's engineering processes. This team is responsible for the end-to-end developer experience, including codebase management, continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD), build systems, internal tooling, developer environments, observability, and feedback loops. The position is remote-first, open to candidates in the United States and specific regions in Canada.
In this role, the Engineering Manager will lead a diverse, agile team, steering technical direction through hands-on contributions and thorough evaluations of proposals, tooling, and architectural decisions. A key aspect involves integrating AI into workflows, ensuring platform components are optimized for both human developers and AI agents. The manager will utilize metrics to identify and eliminate bottlenecks, make data-informed decisions, and collaborate closely with cross-functional peers in Product and Design to set goals and define objectives.
Candidates should have a minimum of two years in a leadership role and over five years as a technical individual contributor. Experience with software development best practices, system design, full-stack web applications, and monorepo management is essential. Familiarity with Agentic AI systems, understanding how LLM-based agents function and integrate into developer workflows, is also required. Strong problem-solving skills, autonomy, and the ability to navigate ambiguity are crucial for success in this position.
The compensation for this role varies based on geographic location. In the United States, the base salary ranges from $198,300 to $270,000, while in Canada, it ranges from CAD $245,000 to CAD $294,000. This role is also eligible to participate in Webflow's company-wide bonus program, with target amounts varying by career level and payouts based on company performance against established financial and operational goals.
