Engineering Manager, Platform Engineering

The manager will define platform services as products with clear business value, engage with internal engineering teams to gather requirements, prioritize features based on business impact, and develop roadmaps ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Additionally, the role involves providing technical leadership to guide architectural decisions, collaborating with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to ensure platform reliability, and implementing processes that reduce operational toil and increase team efficiency.
Candidates should have 5-7+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or related fields with increasing responsibility, and demonstrated experience managing and mentoring engineering teams. A strong track record of delivering platform services that drive significant business value is essential. Hands-on experience with building and scaling internal platforms, ideally with Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure), and CI/CD pipelines, is required. Strong product management capabilities, exceptional technical skills in platform engineering principles, and excellent project management skills are also necessary.
For candidates based in the United States, the pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $160,162 and $282,952 per year, with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between $180,000 and $318,000 per year, including bonus or commission.
