CoreWeave is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the development of security features for CoreWeave AI Object Storage (CAIOS). This role involves managing a team focused on enhancing authentication, authorization, key management, and encryption functions within CAIOS. The position is based in Livingston, NJ, or New York, NY, with a hybrid work environment.

The Engineering Manager will be responsible for building and mentoring a high-performing engineering team, driving the evolution of CAIOS's security posture, and collaborating across engineering and infrastructure teams to protect CoreWeave's customers. Key responsibilities include developing exabyte-scale, S3-compatible object storage optimized for AI workloads, working with technologies such as RDMA, GPU Direct Storage, SPDK, and distributed filesystem protocols to optimize storage performance and efficiency, and improving the reliability and observability of the storage stack.

Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience managing or leading technical teams, over 5 years of hands-on software or infrastructure engineering experience, and more than 3 years in security engineering. Expertise in storage technologies like Ceph, Lustre, MinIO, or GPUDirect Storage is essential, along with experience in authentication, authorization, key management, and encryption. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across engineering, product, and leadership teams are also required.

The base salary range for this role is $165,000 to $242,000, determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
