Skylo Technologies is seeking an Engineering Program Manager to lead the integration of cloud-native software with global network infrastructure. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless operation between software deployments and physical network components, contributing to the world's first live direct-to-device satellite service. The position is based in Mountain View, CA, with an on-site requirement of three days per week.

The Engineering Program Manager will drive the end-to-end integration of software releases with satellite ground stations, synchronize hardware development with firmware and software milestones for device certification, and navigate technical trade-offs between terrestrial and non-terrestrial network performance standards. Responsibilities also include resolving ambiguities between software engineering, network operations, and satellite partners to maintain high service availability, as well as defining and tracking critical path dependencies for multi-continent network deployments.

Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, along with over five years of experience managing complex engineering programs that integrate cloud-native software with physical infrastructure or telecommunications hardware. Essential qualifications include the ability to align software development cycles with hardware testing and network deployment timelines, understanding of network implementation complexities such as spectrum coordination and ground station operations, and experience with device certification processes and 3GPP standards. Proficiency in program management tools like JIRA is also required.

Skylo offers competitive compensation packages, including stock options, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits, and a retirement plan. Additional perks include monthly allowances for wellness and education reimbursement, a generous time-off policy, and opportunities for temporary work abroad. Employees have the unique chance to be part of developing and running the world's first commercial direct-to-device satellite network, working in a collaborative environment with top talent across various tech fields.
