Engineering Technician, Cleanroom
Anduril Industries is seeking a Micro-electronics Technician to join our team in Lexington, Massachusetts. This role focuses on the packaging and assembly of custom infrared image sensors within a cleanroom environment. The Engineering Technician will collaborate closely with engineers to package, test, and assemble custom infrared image sensors. Responsibilities include handling and testing silicon wafers using automated probe test stations, mounting and wire bonding image sensors into ceramic packages, and performing visual and electrical inspections of sensor chip assemblies. Additionally, the technician will operate custom test equipment to collect image data using automated tools, with the majority of tasks conducted within our cleanroom facilities.
Candidates must have experience working with precision test and measurement equipment for development or production hardware, as well as experience collecting data from devices under test using test and inspection equipment. Proficiency in handling delicate hardware, such as microelectronics assemblies, and performing tasks requiring fine motor skills is essential. Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance is also required.
Preferred qualifications include prior experience working within a cleanroom environment, experience with microelectronics packaging such as wire bonders, and experience with electrical cabling assemblies, soldering, crimping, and debugging. Proficiency with SolidWorks and scripting or automation languages such as MATLAB, Python, or LabVIEW is also desirable.
The salary range for this position is $77,000 to $102,000 per year, with actual offers varying based on factors such as work experience, education, and critical skills.
